Brennan's first day

Apr 11, 2008 06:36AM - 0 comments

Brennan's first day home was great, he was fluent with his good manners and accepted it when I told him "no".

It must be the Clonidine he's on that makes him fidgety, like someone who has facial tics, not to mention his fingers are constantly moving.  This worries me, but we'll see if the side-effect goes away with some more time.

He's first day back at school was not so great he made it through 5 1/2 hours before the Asst. principal had to call me to tell me he was knocking over chairs and desks, but that he got himself together and recovered from it.  I came to pick him up from the after-school program and he was sitting under the lunch room table and stated that he wanted to go back to the other school, after I told him he was not going there, he stated he wanted to go back to the Hospital.
That night was rough for all of us, but he came around before bed time, apologized for the hurtful things he had said and reminded me that he loves me.

His 2nd day back at school was much better, no problems, no phone calls, and he was in a good mood the whole day.

We're getting there but like everything it will take some time.
