I am 24 years old. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis when I was 16. I had experienced severe menstrual cycles from the very beginning, so I was extremely thankful to learn that i was not a wimp. I truly was experiencing abnormal pain.  i have had three laproscopys and have been put on continuous birth control to "control" the endo. i still experience break through bleeding and occasional full blown menstrual cycles. This past week i have experienced a hard core cycle with clotting and severe pain. It took me two days to reach my doctors assistant because no one would return my phone calls. once I finally got someone on the phone they told me to take MORE TYLENOL!!!!! I have been taking 3 Tylenol every 3 hours for pain for the past 3 days. It is not doing a darn thing. I was also prescribed Torodol. Torodol was given to me for inflammation. It is helping but cant be taken for more than 5 days at a time. It seems that now that I am a young adult no one is taking my symptoms serious anymore. When I was younger everyone was concerned. Now that I am 24 the doctors treat me like a liar. i am so angry. I have never been prescribed a continuous pain-killer, but I feel that i need something stronger than stupid Tylenol this time and no one will listen. If you were to look at my chart you would see that only I have been prescribed hydrocodone twice in my life with no refills. I am fine with that. I do not need pills continuously, but this go round I need something and no one will listen!!!
