People watching

Apr 15, 2008 02:58PM - 0 comments

I love to watch people, I could sit on a bench and watch all day long.

It is remarkable to me how people actions, the way they think are so right there.

So many people are so easy to read, where they are from,  how they react. Their levels of security and confidence in themselves.

My husband and I used to sit beneath the Doumo in Florence,  eat a icecream and try and guess what country they were from by how they were dressed. Americans always had tennis shoes on,  Eastern block countries, strange and new different colors, Italians and French dressed to the nines.

Not sure how accurate we were, but it was a fun way to  pass time.  We didn't look for flaws in them, we looked for the differences, both cultural and  the excitement in being somewhere new.

I have always found more joy in a smile than in a war. Some are the other way, they  like to play the game.

I think the thing that bothers me about this game the most, is that the truth never seems to be enough.  Instead they make up stories, go out of their way to malign and disparage others.

Very often their own insecurities are used against those with real knowledge, not the knowledge of pride, but instead the real knowledge of enduring it.

You see that here to and other forums. People here often forget though that  this is serious business, peoples lives are more important than pride or personal insecurities.

Ego is a good thing I suppose for jobs, for battling fear.  A different opionion is often seen as a disagreement, instead of new avenue of learning.

You might be asking where is she coming from? What is all this about?  I am not really sure.

I just knew I had the need to say it.  So saying it I am.
