- i just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy - (3-8-08) - 12 hours after him being born i noticed he was kind of slapping himself in the face - then a quiver in his lips and neck - so i thought he was cold - but then his whole body started jerking - arms and legs all at the same time - i knew something wasn't right - so i told my husband to call the nurse - she looked at him and took him away - the doctor came in shortly after - and told us that my son had just a a seizure and needed to rush him into the newborn Intensive care unit (NICU) he was in there for over a month - he had ultrasounds - catscans - EEG's - and MRI's - and after several seizures with none of vitals changing - we still don't know what's causeing his seizures - all we found was that he had two strokes which showed in his MRI - he's home now just on alot of medicine - but my son's condition is so unusual it's left all the doctors stumped - and it scares me because he's working with all the specialist down here - and they don't know how to help him -
