Sick Tonight

Apr 20, 2008 10:34PM - 1 comments

Man, I'm hoping that all of this stuff gets out of my system soon.  Apparently the interferon is still in my system because I was so sick today.  More of that sweating while you freeze stuff and just in general feeling horrible.  I would rather have strep than feel how I've felt on my worst days surrounding this treatment and that is saying a LOT.

When I am feeling too lousy I take a pain pill.  It doesn't happen every day that I have one of these periods of just being so sick and that's about all I can do to take the edge off. Tonight, not even that is working so well.  I just feel awful and I hate it.

Hate to ***** too much.  I had a successful treatment, and so I'm truly blessed.  Just feeling pukey tonight.

Its really funny too because earlier today I was feeling SO fantastic for a little while I was like, wow, this is like before I got sick.  Then wham!  And all of a sudden I'm feeling WORSE than most of the time I was on treatment.  So, just sayin' that interferon is not a people friendly medication.

Well my best friend Val left some spaghetti over here so I'm going to go heat up something to eat.

It would be wonderful if everything happened by the book, but I guess because everyone is different, there are many reactions that possibly have not yet even been booked.  A nurse at "Be In Charge" told me it would take up to six months for all of the medication to leave the body.  Another nurse said three months.  It's been more than six months for me and I and doing great.  There has been a few times, maybe three or four, when I felt like I was fatigued to the max, but not sick.  My prayer for you is that God will give you strength each day to do all that you need to do and that you will regain 100 % of your health and strength quickly.  I am so glad for you that your treatment was successful.
