So today is the 3rd day post my lipodissolve procedure. Lipodissolve is still not FDA approved and has shown both positive and negative resluts. As with any type of procedure, results vary with each individual. I decided to do this because I was sick of still seeing cellulite despite my diet and excersize. I also knew going into this, that this is not a quick fix. You still need to watch your diet and excersize when going through with this or any other procedure. I think having clear expectations about yourself and the procedure keeps you grounded.
When I fist got my initial treatment done, I was a little scared. The Dr. was great and made my nerves much better after talking with him. I won't lie. It hurt. You get injected many, many times-pending on the area and you swell up and bruise. Obvioulsy some people (like me) bruise more than others. Also I do not reccomend taking aspirin prior b/c you will bleed. lol I had my butt, love handles and hamstrings done. I have to say it was like having many bee stings and then numbness after. When I came home, I iced. I iced and iced and iced some more. I was pretty swollen and looked like I had been hit by a truck from behind. Plus I was sore.
Now not everyone has these types of reactions. I bruise easily so hence why I looked the way I did. However with tylenol and ice for the first 24 hrs-consistantly and tons of water VERY IMPORTANTTO DRINK WATER, my body looks better. Its my 3rd day and my although my bruising is still obvious, my swelling has gone down tons and my bruising should all be gone with in a week. Granted you dont want to do this prior to a swimming party and you cant hide this porcedure from your significant others but I see some improvement in my body already.
I check my body everyday and have kept track of my wieght, Your body eliminates the fat through waste. I am consious about drinking lots of water to make sure that it cleanses my system. Plus I do not want to be dehydrated. One thing I am keeping track of is water input/output. Your kidneys help in the excretion process so with this not being FDA aproved, I am trying to keep an eye on any type of changes. I have been eating leafy green veggies more and they say to take vitamin B but I have not yet done that.
I have paid for 4 sessions. I wanted to see what the reults were after my first visit and how long beofre all the bruising goes away. I will go for my 2nd session in four weeks and might not need the other two. I will keep my journal going- both as a reflection/expression/diary for me and well for anyone who wants to know more.
