Molluscum contagiosum

So my boyfriend began showing signs of molluscum about 5 months ago. I have had sex with him before and after the little red bumps developed on his lower abdomen. I have no signs of having the infection yet. The the molluscum still contagious after the bumps are removed? Is it possible i will not contract the infection? On women if it is sexually transmitted, will it usually be around the vagina, or in it? Help please i am going crazy
