Maxalt didn't work at all; neither did Treximet (migraine abortives). I called my neurologist's office and she called in a script for Inderal, a daily migraine medicine. That was Thursday; today is Sunday. So far it hasn't done a darned thing for me! Perhaps it will take awhile.
When I called the office, the nurse said she hasn't had a chance to schedule me for the lumbar puncture. Hopefully she will this week. I am still highly convinced that it's not migraines, but Intracranial Hypertension.
I'm not very sensitive to light, and I don't feel the need to lie down in a dark room when my headaches hit. Yes, lying down helps, but I also feel the headaches when I do that. In fact, sometimes they get worse! Plus, migraines wouldn't explain my weird visual symptoms (which differ from "auras").
