I hate this thyroid cr@p! I'm having a melt down because of how my thyroid has drastically changed my life. I have arthritis, osteoperosis, and diabetes now which I didn't have before. I am having horrible abdominal pain and cramping but can't get a CAT scan because of the RAI and my docs decided it's better for me to stay "clean" so I can have RAI this fall. Oh, and my latest fun, gaining 30lbs in just four months!!! Since my thyroid surgery, I've put on over 50lbs! I had to go to a meeting last night and the ONLY pair of dress pants that would fit me I had to amend with a rubber band at the waste (learned that one when I was pregnant) and it still cut me in half!!!
I've had it, there is nothing I can wear and I'm bloated like the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man! I went from a size 4 to a 12 (probably a 14 next week) in just over two years without changing my diet. I went through my closet tonight to get rid of all the clothing I've accumulated and can't wear anymore (to donate to a domestic violence shelter - not to throw away). EVERYTHING had to go except a few shirts!!! That's years of beautiful suits and dresses that I had to pack up (spent too much time working with media so had nice clothes back then). I even had to pack up a ton of beautiful shoes because my fat feet won't fit in them anymore.
I'm so tired of feeling horrible! So tired of aches, nausea, bone pain, bloating, looking like twice the woman I used to be, amazingly horrible exhaustion, depression, chest pains, headaches . . . shall I continue??? I even broke down and called my endo yesterday and DEMANDED that my meds be changed to include T3.
Guess I'm going to be wearing sweats and t-shirts for a very long time. Maybe I'll just sit on my porch and yell at the little kids as they walk by . . . yeah, if I get 30 cats or so I'll be "that crazy cat woman" at age 41. :-(
Blaaaahhhhhhhhh!
Okay, I'll quit my complaining. Besides, my dachshunds don't like cats.
