Rant?!!**

I`ve not been on here for a time and thought I`d write to get it all off my chest. After my Graves dx
I thought ok got the meds things can only get better...........not me though and can now say I know
what thyroid storm is (god I thought it was the end) I was hospitalised for 3days, meds upped
and started feeling slightly better. (lol was only crying about 3 times a day)
I also have Crohns disease and diverticular disease though (touch wood) crohns not been active for
about 1 1/2 yrs now.

When I left hospital I had started to get constipated again though was due to see gastro surgeon that
wk at out patients clinic, he arranged colonoscopy for the following monday as he didn`t like the
"feel" of my stomach.
Sunday I take the picolax to clean me out for colonscopy but it didn`t work so they gave me enema
before the procedure.....worked a bit so they went ahead and found diverticular disease had spread
and was very bunged up.

They sent me home with more picolax and to up my normal dly dosage of lactulose, did this....nothing!!
By the time Thursday came still hadn`t been to toilet and had got through 3 bottles lactulose, 12 sachets
movicol and couldn`t eat as everything was coming right back up, doc then gave me micro enemas
to try.
6 off them later with no movement and after collasping doc was called, she sent me straight to hospital
where I recieved no less than 8 phospate enemas to no avail (some water), my stomach was bigger
than it ever was when I was pregnant, was constantly vomiting, blood pressure was through the roof
every afternoon and by evening it was very low (every day).
I f I was told I was an intriging/interesting case once more I wouldv`e tore my hair out, seemingly
I should have diahorrea, should be losing weight not constipatited and gaining weight.
Anyway after 15 days in hospital and 5 litres of moviprep I was released though was told I will now
need 12 to 14ins cut from bowel but pointless doing it just now until my Graves stabilized as I am
still constipated and my bowel wall weakened with Crohns so if they cut just now although I`d be
rid of diverticular disease it would come back!
I`m now seriously at wits end though see endo again on Thurs, TSH has went from unreadable to 0.02
so at least thats up a bit.
Have also been told parathyroid could be an issue as calcium levels very high??
I`m really thinking lethal bloody injection would be better option than all this **** (excuse the pun)

OK thats it out my system and will go have a look at the forum and maybe I`ll feel not so sorry for myself
and a bit less crazy lol
