I met with the doctor today. I have been dreading this day...originally supposed to have been April 16, but it got postponed to today. The doctor went over all of my results of the fertility tests that were done and they are all normal. My insulin is still a little elevated, but he said he can't tell me that is a reason for miscarriages. He also told me I for sure do not have PCOS. That my high insulin is just high insulin, not a factor in with PCOS or Diabetes. So, basically he said to stay on the Metformin and May I have the go ahead to TTC again. He said he likes to wait 3 months from your loss to try again and May will be my 3rd month. The doctor said that I would stay with his practice until the beginning of the second trimester and then transfer back to my OB. He said that I would stay on the Metformin for the first trimester and may go one Progesterone supplement just for extra protection. My Progesterone was 14.8 with a natural cycle and he said that was great, so we'd just see how it goes. The good thing staying with RE through the first trimester is I am monitored closely. I get u/s every other week, but I get poked and prodded every other week too...so there is a good and bad side to this. I hate that we really didn't get to have an answer to why we are miscarrying, but at least for peace of mind we know that nothing is wrong with us and it's just our timing. I just wanted to share my good news with everyone that has been by my side through this. Thanks again...I couldn't have gotten through this without you!!!!!
