That sounds like it could be painful! I have heard that saliva glands can become plugged.  One of my daughters had one that would plug up on just inside of her bottom lip.

She never needed antibiotics for it.  But I am sure one in the jaw would be painful and need treatment.  Maybe you should put a cool cloth on it to see if that might help the swelling go down some. Did you have to get a pain medication for it?

LA ,
Yes I did get pain meds, antibiotics. He also told me to rinse my mouth with Lemon Juice. That is nasty.
i am not sure how much I have told you about some of my symptom. I feel my right side is dying away. A mini stroke left me with double vision.Doc says it hit right side eye. My right arm, leg and foot hurt the most. Pain does shift at times to the left.this mouth thing( right side as well) is on top of a nerve and it makes me feel i have nerve problems that present and do not go away and get no answers to why it is happing.
Good to hear from you. Stay in touch,
Mike
