child behavior

Right now my almost 2 year old son is eating a mass amount of tangerines. they are one of the few things he will eat out of our stocked fridge of healthy food. My son is bright and happy a good amount of time with a few exceptions to his behavior. lately he has been mean to me and his Dad though kicking, hitting, spitting, he even purposely came up behind me and spat milk on me. I put him in the naughty chair for 2 minutes now that it's close to his 2nd bday. true he gets mad and sad for reasons sometimes unknown to me though. He has been waking up every 2 hours at night and then either he will pass out or stay awake for what seems like forever to the point where i am exhausted. he isn't having night frights or anything of that sort either. His Biological father is bipolar and I'm sensory processing disorder ( mine includes a weird hand grip, social awkwardness with people the same age or younger, not feeling the temp as well) I also have issues going to sleep and staying asleep his father did also. we both had to take melatonin before bed and his dad took ambien also. i'm just unsure of what to do about my kids sleeping. he is restless and squirmy before bed like me but then he wakes up  a lot like his dad. i also have a very well fallowed bed time routine nothing crazy either!
