My 3 year old daughter Elliott had oral surgery last week. What happened was when I was pregnant I was on alot of medicine so I could stay pregnant with her and I had to take alot of iron because I was extremely anemic. Well, when her teeth were developing the meds went to her teeth buds and made them bad. The doctor said that it could be a side affect and it was. So when she started getting her teeth at 4 months of age they came in yellowish brown and she got alot of tooth decay. I took her to the dentist at about 9 months and the dentist said to watch them. So we did for the next 2 years. Finally at 3 the dentist said we needed to do surgery so her adult teeth would be fine. So to make a long story short she had 1 tooth pulled and the dentist put a spacer in so her other teeth would not move together. She had 3 caps, about 10 cavaity filled and her first 4 teeth on the top shaved down and whitened so they would not be yellowish brown anymore. She was at the children's hospital when we live and she got to come home the next day after her surgery. She is doing great and her teeth look 100 percent better.
