middle east woes

the most sacred place in jerusalem was erected upon the moriah rock. today the arabs most sacred place is called the dome of the rock. jesus reportedly said of peter, 'upon this rock i will build my church'. i think it's fair to say that it matters of religion, we all have some rocks in our heads. ever wonder how things might be different if the middle east was green and forested. a person can fashion a weapon from the wood of a tree, given some time, but a rock is already a weapon. palestine is it's own arsenal. jerusalem is not caught between a rock and a hard place, it is a rock and a hard place, yet a pilgrimage to this most beautiful city of light is on the to do list of millions. just more food for thought.

Do you suppose that all religions actually got most things pretty right?

i am lately of a mind that one cannot pin down the divine as it must be in a constant state of flux, and that humans are very arrogant in these matters. i remain faithful though.

isaac and ishmael. so long ago, does anyone even remember the reason for all the unrest. i think the general american population have no clue how this all began. as for why it continues, that one has even me stymied.
