I've been diagnosed with high prolactin (41.5, 45.8 result from 2nd retest) and the normal range at this lab is 2.8 - 29.2. My bloodwork showed that I have an underactive thyroid. TSH = 7.188. FSH = 0.5 mIU/mL .

My docotor wants me to have an MRI (w/out contrast) to see whether there is a tumor at the pituitary gland causing the high prolactin level.

I have been having irregular to heavy menstruations for 8 1/2 years. At its worst, my periods would last 3-4 weeks long and thick, jelly-like blood clots? would come out. I have no cramps but sometimes I'd feel a little pressure around the private areas.

I am overweight, 230 lbs and 5'6" ft tall. I have seen an increase in body hair, esp. facial hair. I have had bad headaches off and on. Usually I can count on having headaches every year. When I have the headaches, I am sensitive to loud noise and light. I can't remember the last time I took an aspirin or any OTC meds for headaches. I just sleep it off and usually by morning I'm better. I do not have any discharges from my nipples.

I do have some weird thing that developed on my right eye but I do not know how to describe it. It comes and goes. It is like a clear, transparent color like tissue that looks bunched up. It's like taking a clear contact lense & wrinkle it up. It is most pronounced and visible in the morning though I have seen there on my eye all other hours. Right now, it is not within sight..don't know where it went but come morning, I will mostly likely see it.

The last 8 yrs have been very stressful and I am not an exercising person.

I am praying I do not have a tumor.
