Hehe.... Leo is 11 years old, stubborn, single-minded and a big part of the family. We love him dearly, although, I can't say I'd rush out and get another long-haired, loud barking, excitable, 'King Charles Cavalier; again. He does not understand or chase balls, frisbees, or sticks. He does chase laser pointer dots but my son has been banned from using them. He chases birds and will do ANYTHING you want ONLY if you bribe him with a feather (somewhat like a carrot to a rabbit, or a rabbit to a greyhound). His runs along the beach are 'hunt the rocks looking for feathers' or 'pee on the best looking sand castle' He's fairly deaf now and responds to finger-talking (which means you have to run in front of him to tell him to 'come back' .... hehe). If I wasn't getting older myself, I would find him more frustrating, but these days it's c'est la vie!!!
He sounds like a challenge! I know a lot of dogs that hear just fine, but act the same way. My dog chases just about anything you throw that she knows is her toy (includes tennis balls and frisbees). I have never heard of a dog chasing or hunting feathers. How unique!
Leo looks a lot like Rita's dog, Mr. Mojo, but maybe the way Leo looked in his youth. It doesn't last too long for any of us!
my friends at the mount have a very cute little king charles cav i was house and dog sitting for them and as much as i love that littl piddler it is a fact that they are retarted they were bred to be bed warmers, unfortunately thier skulls are too small due to too much inbreeding. but they make u laugh eh, lol
