Hi...not sure on how to measure a cerebral herniation....I am sure it does not meet most Drs criteria for Chiari....however most that use that as a means to determine Chiari do not know what Chiari is, it is the malformation of the skull NOT the herniation.
I do not see a syrinx in this slice but they can form anywhere in the spine....so a MRI of the thoracic and lumbar spine will also be in order as well as a CINE MRI to see if the herniation is causing an obstruction to the CSF flow.
