My nails did not get as bad as what you describe, but chemo did pretty much ruin my nails. I've had several different chemos, and some were worse than others. The thing about nails is they will rarely clear up, espcially if it is a fungus, until they grow out. I did that, but even the new nails that have grown out have dips in them, and they curve. You say your body rejected Carboplatin. Does that mean you had an allergic reaction to it? That is very common, and it does not mean you are platinum resistant. It just means you had an allergic reaction. I did, as well. I think, for the most part, if that happens, docs will switch you to something else to see if it works rather than work through the all...

Ronni is right...go to the ER as soon as you can. Don't wait until the doctor's office opens on Monday. Not only will you lessen the danger, but you'll be amazed at how much better you'll feel, too. I hope you're already getting it taken care of. Let us know how it goes. Gail
