I did 6 m. of pegetron last year and didn't really lose any hair, but it was very fine. This year I did 1 m. peg then 3 m. triple. My hair was fine while on meds, but 3 wks. post, I find hair everywhere, not enuf to turn bald (YET) lol, but just annoying. I hope I don't end up wearing a do-rag to cover my sparsely covered scalp. My biggest hair...

sounds like you are a very strong lady. I've in wk 7 of 47 and every time I get a new sx I freak totally out, and sooner or later I find my way back to these posts whose practical advice beats the heck out of my nurses' answers! when I feel like you describe it is usually depression, for me. good luck!

Well until I see nurse on Monday, I quit the iron supp, it was constipating anyway-I was wondering about toxicity. If James can ski at 10500' I'm sure I can get along. I didn't mention that in my anxiety I even called Pegetron nurse who is supposed to be avail 24/7. Well, that was useless, she said she'd note it as a side effect and to ...

Thank you all, you were very reassuring. I made it into the clinic and saw the nurse that was on duty and he reassured me and said my body will start to adjust a bit after around 2 wks. Also that laying down was the best thing for that really faint feeling and I find he is right. And I agree - going up or downstairs is major heavy exercise - and I am letti...

I am starting wk 7 but haven't had my injection yet. I realize I have been getting very short of breath, dizzy, numbness and tingling. Emailed nurse this am and she responded my counts were really down - rest, rest, rest. small meals, naps. Last night is when it got really worse but then got a bit better once I relaxed. Talking made me dizzy last nig...

New book There's Lead in Your Lipstick: Toxins in Our Everyday Body Care and How to Avoid Them by Gillian Deacon (a former CBC morning show host). Tells you what they are and even how to make your own toxin free. Will be buying my copy today! My house is already relatively chemical free but my own makeup, lotion, etc., is only fragrance free in defer...

I hadn't thought of the anti-viral actually HELPING with anything else, lol. I'm ever so slightly reassured. I wash my hands a lot and try not to let my niece's dog jump up and stick his tongue in my mouth too often. Ick. My own little Peanut is way too small to do that!

I have always had extremely dry skin. Now that it is even worse, I put on a greasy cream or unscented bath oil on damp skin after shower, then "seal" it in with Aveeno! I carry Glysomed or some other hand cream and put it on constantly just to keep ahead of the game. I use rubber gloves for dishes and cleaning. I have to be religious in my moist...
