My son is 8 1/2. He has multiple psych issues (psychotic disorder nos r/o schizoaffective bipolar type, mood disorder nos, r/o bipolar with psychosis; and ADHD), and has been on different meds throughout the last year, with two hospitalizations. He's been on the current ones for the past two months, with no big side effects (seroquel, latuda, Tenex, bena...

I had full intentions of going to work this morning. Was fine last night, except for a little pain. Even went to bed early. This morning comes around, and I am super nauseous. I can't get my xofran refill til Monday, so I think okay, it'll go away if I don't think about it. Heck no. I got sick going to work, had to call off ten minutes before I...

I used to love fried bananas in the islands, but wanted to do them healthier. I just lightly sprayed a pan with Pam cooking spray, then sort of seared the bananas cut lengthwise. You can add honey or cinnamon after, and it melts into it. We loved them! This way, you get fried bananas, without the unhealthy fried batter!

I'm doing the exact thing that Selma mentioned lol. I'm sorry you are going through this. When I felt like my fiance wasn't totally understanding everything (in the very beginning he thought it was all made up and that it couldn't possibly be like that), I actually showed him this forum. It made a HUGE difference. Now he is able to laugh ...

Thanks Iris and Viva...I am better today, just can't focus on more than today. No, he hasn't been checked for chiari, but he has a regular appointment soon about his thyroid, so I'll ask about it. Just trying to keep everyone calm today..

Thanks so much everyone <3 I feel a little better now. It's just hard when everything builds up and builds up until it's completely overwhelming. I will try to just look at everything one day at a time. @Selma, hopefully the results will give me answers, but I swear he could've done the test by poking me with the back of a pen (he didn'...

I'm sorry this isn't about chiari too much, but I feel comfortable here. Quick update on my EMG, he didn't do it right at all (I swear it lasted not even two minutes) and I didn't get any answers. He made a big deal about needing to bring the MRI disk, and never even looked at it. Supposedly I'll have answers in 2 weeks when I go back...
Not really sure where to post this. My son just turned 8, and his "official" diagnosis is psychotic disorder NOS, and ADHD. BUT, the psychiatrist said he is most likely schizoaffective bipolar type, with depression and possibly Aspergers. He has been seeing her since Feb, when he was hospitalized for a pretty big crisis. He's a great kid, smar...
