Yes, you definitely need to go and get an MRI or CT scan. If you're still having symptoms like blurry vision it may be more serious than you think. Go get a head scan ASAP!! good luck.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but it sounds like she has many symptoms that could point toward leukemia. I'm a leukemia survivor and those symptoms send up a red flag. The lymph node swelling is very concerning to me. Also, having an ESR that high often indicates an infection or anemia which could be related to leukemia. But did they run a ...

This definitely concerns me. A lump in that area could be an enlarged lymph node. It could be caused by anything from a simple infection that your body is fighting off or it could be a sign of lymphoma or leukemia. As a leukemia survivor myself, I would suggest going and getting it checked out. As we all know, early detection saves lives and you'd ra...

A platelet volume that low has probably given your doctor a reason to suspect leukemia.(cancer of white blood cells WBC) Leukemia destroys the immune system and that's why he biopsied the lymph node.(where WBC are made). Leukemia cells commonly appear in lymph nodes and almost anywhere else. Some other symptoms of leukemia are tiredness, achiness, weigh...

Hey there James, sounds like you've got quite a serious problem. I have suffered a severe TBI so I know what you're going through. If new symptoms like dizziness are arising days after the incident, it may a sign of more serious complications. You may be at risk for something like a hematoma, aneurysm, bruising, nerve damage, or swelling of the br...

I’m on maintenance chemotherapy for leukemia and went to my Dr. because of fainting constantly. I’m back from a night in the hospital....blood tests and bone marrow biopsy show no signs of relapse!!(sigh) He wanted to keep me in the hospital longer, but I told him I couldn’t miss more of the first week of school. Turns out I'm severely anemic, Hem...

I know what you're going through, I'm currently in remission. ALL can be extremely tough to beat. I think the test you mentioned is a comprehensive metabolic panel. It's used to see how well the liver, kidneys are doing and to monitor acid/base levels, glucose and proteins in the blood. Electrolyte (Ca, N, Cl,) imbalances can be dangerous and...

You should definitely go to get checked out. There is clearly something going on with you. You have obviously not fully healed, even 6 months later, which is totally normal. I had a severe concussion and was out of sports for a whole year in high school because I had persistent symptoms like dizziness and headaches. You may be at risk for something like a...

Hi mamahuebsch, Your symptoms are very concerning to me. You should really go and get checked out because time is EVERYTHING: I wish I had found mine earlier. By the time I was diagnosed it had spread to my spinal cord and brain because I had ignored it for so long. An advanced case is much harder to fight. As for me, I was diagnosed about 3 years ago. ...

I don't want to alarm you but swollen glands and enlarged spleen are two of the symptoms I had before I was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia. But you don't have any of the other symptoms like fatigue, bruising, or achiness that I had. Did your Dr. run blood tests recently? Wouldn't hurt to have a CBC and BMB just to rule it out. Keep...
