Had sub-total thyroidectomy on Thursday. Found it was a good thing i opted for surgery being as it was wrapping itself along the inside of my neck. During surgery i lost 200 cc's of blood, but came out if it with my voice and feeling better than i had in a while. It could be as simple as tonsillitis, but you do need to see a Dr to be sure. Call and set up an appointment as soon as possible. In the meantime try warm saltwater gargles and tylenol, it may relieve some of your symptoms. If it becomes too severe go to your local emergency room. Typically there is a flag reference located beside the lab results. If your results are within this range they are considered normal. I Aug. i had an U/S which showed my left thyroid lobe to be enlarged. While on my levothyroxine my TSH T3 and T4 levels were normal. Diagnosed with hypothyroidisnm in 2004.
