Even if you manage to lose weight that quickly- your body probably wouldn't stabilize that quickly and you risk health problems and/or gaining it back. Slow and steady is the best way over a period of time

What I found helpful (obviously I didn't go through a pregnancy) is to watch what you eat. Exercise has some limited benefit in terms of losing weight, and has a great benefit in keeping your muscles and heart in shape. Actually, seeing this I decided to weigh myself at the same time (first thing in the morning) with the same clothes (next to none). It appears that the variance is much less. Regards, Phil

Just curious.... I noticed that my weight varies by around 3-4 pounds during the day... does anyone experience/notice this for themselves too?

It's not just eat less, it's also what you eat. Try cutting down on fats and oils, for example french fries are a BIT no no, salad is a big yes- it fills you up for a while but your intake of calories is less. Excercise is also good in moderation. You'll find that making a small adjustment to your diet over a longer period of time will yield the best result...
