I believe all you will need to do is relay the above information. Take copies of all lab and x ray reports. Take copies of medical records and consultants reports. Most neuroophthalmoloigst want to look at the MRI's themselves not just the report so taking copies of the MRI would be helpful and save time. The hospital will normally make copies for you to take...

You are a much higher risk or RD in the second eye after a RD in the first eye. The laser will not cause new holes, they are generally caused by traction from the vitreous. Both laser and cryotherapy are used to close holes. Not all holes can be reached to treat with freezing and have to be lasered.

Yes, plus cause retinal detachment, cataracts, dislocated lens, traumatic iritis and hyphema (bleeding). Boxing is the worst.

Cataract surgery, even successful small incision surgery increases the risk of retinal detachment from about 1 in 3,000 to 5,000 to about one in 500 to one in 1000. So yes the risk is small of an RD but much higher after cataract surgery. You will have to accept some risk to have cataracts removed and this is one of them.
