Geno 1a, Cleared for sure at week 20. (had 40 IU/mL at week 12). Did 56 weeks and relapsed Bill -- that's 56 with a little breather and then another 96 wasn't it? bean

Hi. Sounds like you are inthe final grueling weeks. I don't knwo the answers about the purpura. I have some varicose veins too and didn't see andy change during treatment. Seems like they are tracign this back to about the time of the Vietnam war - not much before, I don't think Somewhere I have seen the history of Hepatitis C and I will try to find it. It was sometime between 1969- 1971 for me, I believe and I have very little damage. frijole

There are certainly a lot of good points made on this thread. I admire those of you who were up front with the disease. I wondered if, after I cleared, I might be more vocal about it. Not clearing, I have kept in the closet. I do keep my ears open whenever the topic comes up (which is rarely) and monitor the reactions of others. It has been 2 years since...
