Irt could be either, but rosacea sounds more likely. If it's rosacea, then you'll need a topical and oral antibiotic, which would require that you see a doctor, who can make a definite diagnosis too. Take care. Dr. Rockoff

This does not sound like herpes. It sounds like irritation or a cyst that became inflamed. If you caught herpes from your recent contact (which would be unlikely, because she presumably did not have a herpes sore on her hand), you would have high fever, swollen glands, and be unable to walk. I understand your concern, but I'm afraid I can't add much to give you certainty. Warts can be dormant for years, so it doesn't mean much whether you've had girlfriends lately. Herpes doesn't last 2 weeks. On the other hand I can't tell you what the nature of these "blisters" is without seeing them. This may well be eczema or irritation, but you will need to ask a doctor in person. Meantime, use 1% over-the-counter hydrocortisone, avoid irritation, and take photos of the rash in case it has faded when you see the doctor...

Actual blisters suggest the possibility of staph infection, not just friction. I suggest using Hibiclens and bacitracin and contacting your doctor Tuesday if you aren't better. Dr. Rockoff
