I agree, that Ativan is only for panic attacks. If you try to take them all the time, the effect becomes less. I personally can't even take them two days in a row for them to work properly.

Have you been tested for bi-polar disorder? My aunt is bi-polar and the whole point of it is having two different sides instead of just anxiety or just depression. She'll get very happy (manic) and then get very sad. She also tried to medicate herself for the pain and ended up doing and saying things that just arent' her.

For me it starts right at my sternum. It feels like somebody has a huge weight attached and is pulling me chest first to the ground all the way from my backbone. I also have chest pain on the left side.

I'm in the same boat you are. It really is hard to believe all the symptoms that anxiety causes. I went to a cardio myself just because I just couldn't believe all this chest pain was caused by anxiety. I also have some Ativan that I take when I need it and it does help, but I've heard so many horror stories about people coming off it, that I don't take it...
