Inhalation of acid can cause severe inhalation injuries;however, a preservative that you described is not strong enough to cause you the harm that worries you.

>>>My questions are this: -What type of burn does this seem like (2nd degree deep partial thickness)? -How long does this wound take to heal, if at all? -Does the white discoloration fade over time, matching more of my normal skin tone.? -How long can I expect for this type of wound to normalize into a permanent state? -What are the types o...

Try to eat/drink mostly liquids and some chloraseptic spray. If you have no allergies, motrin or tylenol for pain.

Chloroseptic is a mild start or the pharmacy can make something called "magic mout wash" and that would help with much of the discomfort.
