First off, HPV isn't herpes. It's warts. The risk is low as most people get over HPV very quickly without showing any symptoms. There is still a chance of catching it, but chances are they're not contagious anymore.

Yes, but it is possible that you may never show signs or symptoms. HPV has a habit of curing itself before any problems arise. Would still be a good idea to get tested and talk to your doctor about possible treatments if you test positive though.
