Personally I would hold off on treatment unless you are experiencing some of the more serious symptoms of hyperthyroidism. The reason I say that is because. I was way high and wasn't experiencing any symptoms and I decided to go on Methimazole and have RAI. Hi, I take Armour and I really don't feel the difference from synthetic. Some people swear by it. I just think it give you a little high for about an hour and then your back to normal. It's nothing special in my opinion and it smells bad. Also your more prone to not being able to sleep at night.

Hello, This is not a normal side affect of Armour. In fact that seems like the opposite. Armour is a T3/T4 combo drug. So it should in actuality give you a boost during the day instead of causing lethargy. Armour is dessicated pig hormone so it is more natural. I had RAI done about 4 years ago. I didn't have any reactions to having it done. Your doctor may have had patients who have experienced reactions such as gum swelling. I would dig up a little more dirt on why he wants you to have the steroid pack. Ask if it is because he had other patients how have experienced that side affect. Ask if it is really a necessity...
