i have to agree w/alaysha..... i think back in those times, they probably doubted the world would last as long as it did, and therefore, "stopped" their calenders-or they just made the calender,and kept going till they realized just HOW FAR away they were planning, and quit.....just because an ancient civilization who was once rich, and then FELL TO PERIL,...
