I do that when I am manic and I talk alot normally to, but not jumpy talk like your husband does, unless I am manic. Just part of my being bipolar! Is he? If so, he is in a manic state.

Sounds like classic bipolar disorder! Our cognition changes with our moods. I think totally differently when I am up or when I am down, it is scary to me how my brain functioning changes like that!

Typically bipolar individuals with just Mania are Bipolar II, BP I is when they have more severe depressions. Is this individual on an anti-depressent only? That can throw us into just mania w/o a mood stabilizer. Mania is not being Schizophrenic, delusional or paraniod, it is a part of bipolar disorder. Yeah, I felt it in about two weeks. It changes your brains bio-chemistry by balancing your moods. It is a mood stablizer. I use it in combo with Wellbutrin and am doing quite well on this regimen. I love my Abilify, it gave me back my normal life! Give it a go!

Oh, as far as him being bipolar, I doubt it, he sounds like an abusive jerk. Anger is a symptom in men but not to the point of being abusive to others unless they are already abusive people. Was he raised in an abusive home? More times than not it is a learned behavior
