Here's my experience....I had a D&C in Dec. (missed M/C as well).......My office does not check Hcg levels unless there are problems. I used an HPT 3 weeks after, and it was Neg., so my hormones had at least gone back down to below 5. I'm sure that everyone's body reacts differently, but maybe you should have bloodwork done just to see.......
