Take the full presciption with you and explain the situation. Afterall you were just out of surgery and we don't always make the best decisions at such a stressful time. He can adjust the number of pills to include the script you got and so I am sure he will understand under the circumstances. I truly hope so.

If you cut the oxycontin then your releasing all the medication at once and this is dangerous plus you will not be helping your situation because yoy will have lost the 12 hour relief. Welcome to our community!

Tuckamore is correct but to be on the safe side call your pharmacist to be sure. I know I have taken my pain meds with many different antibiotics so you should be fine. I hope your feeling better very soon:)
