Should I be picking my 7 week old up right away when she crys?? My fiance thinks we should just let her cry when she's throwing a fit.. any advice??

My 7 week old does not smile in response to me smiling.. She was born 3 weeks early and had the cord wrapped around her neck for a long period of time.. she was blue and not breathing.. then she was in NICU for week with high flow O2.. I'm wondering if she has some learning disablities. or if its nomal to not smile yet.. she doesnt coo either..
am i teaching my baby bad sleeping habits??

these were great reassuring responses.. Cailyn sleeps with me as well.. she wont sleep on her own.. I think she likes the feeling of knowing I'm there when she wakes up.. Cailyn wont even open her eyes throughout the night.. she just squirms around when she's hungry and I feed her.. she doesnt cry at all at night.. I love it.. I'll probably try weaning her...

I was wondering if your body still has the HCG hormone after giving birth.. I gave into having unprotected sex 3 1/2 weeks after giving birth to my little girl. oops. I am breastfeeding, and my midwife said its 98% effective at preventing pregnancy up to 6 months after giving birth. So my question is.. if I took a pregnancy test next week, will it come...

I'm not ready to be pregnant again.. I guess I should have thought about that before matress mambo! I had Cailyn 4 weeks ago on Tuesday.. I am breastfeeding.. not sure if I've ovulated or anything..
