We are getting him a cool wooden drum, Phin loves drumming on everything. A bathtub faucet spout cover thingy, some new bath toys and books. The rest of the family will spoil him way overboard so we are going easy. I did see a huge bead activity center at costco the other day and fell in love with it. But $100 bucks for one thing this late in the budgeting...

Phin is one week away from 9 months. Seemed like 9 months took forever when he was on the inside.... The first finger food we gave Phin was an overcooked ziti noodle. Then came toast cut into "bars" oh and a salt free pretzel rod! He loved that. Don't let his gag reflex startle you too much, it can be gut wrenching to see the first few times.

Irish- We only did one sign and I would sign "milk" to him right before nursing him and during nursing. When he would make the sign on his own I would drop everything and nurse him so he could make the connection. It took about a week for it to sink in.
