ADVICE PLEASE/ methadone

yea hi, some of you seen my posts,others. anyway, here is what's up--i have been taking 20mg of methadone a day. i was counting on cutting it down more--i can't because they are gone.i will have to start my detox from 20mg. one friend said i should "do ok" because that is a low dose and i've only been taking them a little less than 2 months. anybody out there...

hey dust,i am getting ready to do the same--as far as quiting the M-done. i've been taking 20mg a day for 2months, maybe a little longer.i had planned to cut back to 10mg a few days,then 5mg.a few days --then quit. from what i've read- med info,(not the forum) they say pretty much the same thing>> "W/D's come on slower,last longer, but are not as bad on W/D's...

hi you all,.ibkleen, i was just a bit frustrated about some of the things you said about my last post.i just didn't (&don't) feel you know enough about me,my history&goals to say what you said.NOW, the point of the matter is that ihooked up with some methadone to ween off oc's & morphine. i am now taking 10-20mg. of m-done and want to also detox from the m-do...

thanks for u'r feedback,but why are talking about "i speak volumes about my behavior"iwent back and reread what i wrote.if you feel i am have no plan to deal with my problems-- first,as i said after cut-off from my hydro's,i grabbed oc's mostly/ & morphine (foolishly)to deal with the W/D's & pain because i want to get back right with the pain clinic i had bee...
Do you think we develop a tolerance to withdrawls? What do you think?

NO! UNFORTUATALLY, NATURE IS NOT KIND IN THAT WAY.WHAT YOU TAKE,HOW LONG YOU TAKE IT DETERMINES THE DEGREE OF W/D'sWISH I COULD TELL YOU DIFFERENT. I THINK IT'S GOD'S WAY OF KEEPING YOU FROM ABUSING DRUGS AND/OR KILLING U'R SELF OVER TIME>>>> GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS!!
