How reliable are transvaginal ultrasounds verses MRI's? I have had multiple TVUS which all say, the complex lesions on my ovaries cannot be ruled out for neoplasms. The MRI stated, possible hemorrhagic cysts. I had the MRI in Feb, and I was under the impression that hemorrhagic cysts should resolve themselves. My last TVUS was in Sept and the lesions are stil...

Hi Marie, First off, I am really glad your daughter is not having pain anymore, that is wonderful. I would however want another TVUS just to make sure everything looks good. No sense just worrying and wondering.... Take Care Laney

Hi, Just to shed some light on a scary subject, let me tell you that 95% of cysts are benign. Complex simply means that there is mixed matter in your cyst. Some solid and some fluid. Many if not most of these resolve themselves after a cycle or two. Please take a deep breath and try to relax Stay on top of things and make sure the doc repeats the ultrasound ...
