I have heartburn too. What has been working for me is Apple Cider Vinegar. About a tsp in a class of warmish water. Sip it slowly. The best vinegar is organic unfiltered, but I use Heinz. If it dosn't work right away still keep sipping.... Other things to try are red apples, at least one every day... and carrots. Be sure to chew your carrots at least 3...

Dear Doctor, This is what my doctor say I have. He gave me omeprazole 20 mg and sent me on my way. Nothing changed. Had an ultra sound that came back normal, and a barium swallow which showed mild reflux. I have been having nausea and a little heartburn for almost 4 months. Never at the same time.... and a lot of pain in my upper abdomen, and stomach...

This happens to me sometimes while running. It can be quite scary. What helps me is to cool it for a bit and walk instead. If the palpations don't go away quickly after walking I would suggest a stress test. This is preformed on a treadmill while you are hooked up to monitors that measure your heart rate.
