Can a person who already has cirrhosis take the tx for hep c? - Most of the time yes. Although your odds of SVR are lower than others who don't have cirrhosis. - Yes, unless your cirrhosis is decompensated that our doctor believes that your liver may not be able to handle the treatment. Here is the info you wanted. The main thing to know is you have cirrhosis, Stage 4. This has a big impact on your chances for SVR. Although your cirrhosis doesn't appear very advanced. Hi. You may have answered this before sorry... Why are your platelets under 100k? Do you have cirrhosis or some other disease that is reducing your platelet count?
