Is thyroid surgery dangerous? What are my chances for not surviving the surgery? Why do I have stay overnight in the hospital? How far into my neck will they have to go to get it out? Will have stitches? Will I be able to go the restroom by myself and move around and such that day or will it takes day of recovery? How long will I laid up in bed after surgery?...

I am doing my RAI this morning - but I have a question - did you prepare for the RAI with a LID? I know some people dont, but most do. Just curious. Good luck today - and wish me luck too!!! D

Hi Helen, There is someone on another forum that I belong to that has gone through the same thing and in six months, he had a nearly undetectable thyroglobulin - so its possible that you wont have anything to worry about in six month.
