The symptoms you describe are associated with anxiety and the Zoloft should help with that although it often takes 2-4 weeks for you to see the benefits. You could also take your daughter to a counselor. You can also try having her do something else whenever she starts to bite her nails such as write or draw or exercise. I am sorry to hear aout the TAKS test....

If it means keeping your daughter from getting lost I would consider the harness as well. She may not like it either which may serve as a deterrent for her running away from you. Good Luck!

Absolutely take your daughter to the doctor. They will most likely refer you to a child psychologist or play therapist which is what you need to help with this behavior.
