Don't beat yourself up about the drug thing. Consider this a lucky escape, imagine if you did like them and your body could handle them...1st drug skunk last drug who knows where it could lead. A lot of people try these things, it is a part of growing up so just put it down to experience. Good luck matey and come back and let us know what the doc says ...

I hate to say it but drugs can bring on anxiety, this could've been the start of it for you, especially if you suffered paranoia afterwards too. It could be that the chances are you would've developed anxiety anyway but the drug use has just accelerated it. I think that most panic attacks originally occur in late teens/early twenties. Have you been to the doctors about this? If not then perhaps it would a good idea to go and see your GP just so that they can give you the all OK and you can then relax a bit? Have you suffered with anxiety in the past or is this something new altogether? Are you on any meds or receiving any therapy. Let us know a bit more about your situation. Sam

Hi Misty, It most certainly is scarey when anxiety wakes you from your sleep. When I am highly anxious and finally get to sleep I too suffered from being woken up with the worst pains ever, it is so much scarier when it wakes you as you presume that you are not thinking about being anxious.
