I am not a physician, but the mom of a type one diabetic. I have not heard of any correlation between type one and your problem. I would suggest that your contact the jdrf.org on line diabetes support team they might have some one on there team that would be better to help you.

I would suggest you try to get insurance even if it is thru Medicaid. When you do get insurance you will most likely have a pre existing clause which means that they will not pay for at least 1 year even when you get insurance.
we have use the remote for the 508 when our daughter was on it. the only place to get the remote that works with the pumps is thru minimed. they are defenitly worth the investment.

I would suggest that you call the minimed helpline and let them know what happened there could be something wrong with the pump or the meter. They will be able to advise you. If there is a problem they will send you a new one overnight, if you do not fell comfortable using the system they will guide you with what to do. They are there 24/7.
I am glad you took him to the doctor. You did not state what your son's blood sugar was prior to him eating the foods that you stated. Or if was after eating how long after. I am also a volunteer. I know the thought sounds good, of checking while high, but that ususally does not happen because when you are high you forget. I hope that you and your girlfriend repect each other enought to stay away form pot and find better ways like hiking, biking or finding an actiity that you can do together to get the true high on life.
