I greatly appreciate all responses from my last question! Hopefully, I can get some insight on this question as well. After all of the things I've read (which is a lot now) I still have this unanswered - Can the herpes virus be transmitted through semen, specifically inside the vagina?

As for symptoms....from what I've read, I understand that you can have it forever and never even have symptoms. And, maybe it's too soon for symptoms to occur? I don't think getting tested will be a waste of time because I'll get tested for everything else at the same time! I would hate to have it not knowing, and pass it on. I know the sinus infection is...

Thank you. So....people are infectious only sometimes not constantly? I was under the umpression that it could be transmitted at any time. No matter if there are symptoms present or not. Isn't that true?

When you think your sexual partner is not with other people and you find out otherwise and that you were exposed to something such as genital herpes. It is a shame. I believe it was type 2 that she tested positive for. Yes i know my status from before. I've always maintained good health and precautions and had regular tests as well. I've never test...

In the past I have had a sexual relationship with a man who I later found out was "with" several other females during the same time period. One of those girls was aware that I had been with him and when she tested positive for genital herpes she called me to inform me that I should get tested. I know that he was exposed to it.
