I have had RAI and TT for Graves and Hyperthyroidism and am now considered (as it says on my lab sheets)........ Hyperthyroid , Graves, Post RAI on Eutroxzig (T4). I think that is the question you are really trying to ask. Correct me if I am wrong.

I drink coffee and Coke Zero and it has no effect on my levels whatsover but everyone is different.

I suffer with Graves and had hyperthyroidism and gained 11kilograms before RAI & Thyroidectomy last June. Before diagnosis I would go through 'fat stages and skinny stages' and eventually was placed on anti-thyroid meds to try and control the hyperthyroidism which was unsuccessful. I started off at 55kgs post diagnosis and went to 71kgs. I am now 5...

I would say yes...the radiation would play a big part in your levels......one being radiation and two...being the stress of it all. I would suggest you get yr FT3, FT4 & TSH done to see if you need an increase in Synthroid. I think you may find you need an increase in your meds but dont increase until youve had a thyroid function test done again and mak...

Good advice gimmel. My TSH went to over 7.0 and even though I stayed on the same dosage as the Ft3 and FT4 were ok, within 14 days my TSH dropped to just over 4.0 and now another 4 weeks later has dropped to just over 3.0 (2.3 - 2.5 being my comfort level). If I had INCREASED because of the TSH being so high, I can 100% guarantee I would be extremely HYPER ...

Hi Kevin Sometimes the TSH can lag behind a bit from the FT3 and FT4 and even if the bloods show that the FT3 and FT4 are normal but the TSH up a fraction.....just hold tight there , Mate. Usually its the TSH that causes the aches. Wait...as gimmel says:)
