I have to agree with broknbck. The drugs affect our brain much more than we realize. I've learned much here on this site in the last few weeks. I agree with the others. I'm only 35 days clean off methadone. The first 2 weeks were the worst, for me physically, yes, but it also took a little longer to feel better mentally, too. It may take 3 more weeks like your dr. said, it may take less to feel better. I never really had stomach issues either, just some mild diarrhea, nothing I could not deal with. ...

Lisa, you are MY hero, my inspiration to stay clean and methadone free. Your words here on this forum have helped so many, I'm sure. But I just want to say how you have helped me tremendously. I used valium on a very short term basis to help ease my wd's and get a bit of sleep. If you've got access to a little ambien or valiuim or something similar, try taking that sparingly for a few days/nights. Valium also helped me with the skin crawlies.

I know exactly what you mean. But please try to hang tough. There will be good days and bad days and many kinda unsure days. I'm 31 days and still have bad days occasionally.
