Jumping in a little late on this question. Haven't been to the site in weeks. I missed my friends! I believe in the Bible literally. I didn't come by this decision lightly. I realized that to be a true Christian is to be a follower of Christ. To be a follower of Christ, I had to know as much as I could about him. I have never been one to swa...

I was combing thru some of the latest AMA journals while in my Dr's office the other day, and interestingly, I came across an article that stated that by accident, they discovered that Hepatitis C cannot live in a "statin" invironment. The statin drugs are given to lower cholestrol. Anyway, they think there may be some promise and plan to contin...

Any Veterans out there who have won any type of case against the government on contracting Hep C from airjet guns or oral surgery? I am Vietnam era vet (of course did not see combat as women were not allowed at that time). I am putting in a claim against the government and would like to know if others have done the same. Any takers?

Posted this this AM but it never made it to the forum. Maybe that's an omen? I am post treatment with Pegintron/ribavirin tx. Clear of virus for 13 months now. About 2-3 months after treatment I started getting hip, knee, foot and back pain which has continued to worsen over the months. At first, after getting off treatment, I felt good. I could wa...

It's okay. I almost quit treatment with two weeks to go and my doc's nurse talked me out of it. I felt like you. What you need to do now is pamper yourself as much as you can. Get some nice soft pjs or comfy clothes, curl up with a good book or your favorite tv show or you kitty or puppy, whatever provides you that sense of comfort, get your doc...

Does anyone know of a reliable source which sites the proper sterilization method for Hep C? As far as I've ever heard, the only thing that can kill the hep c virus is sterilization. Anyone know anything?

I was in the US army in 1975, given vaccinations many times w/air jet guns--both single and combo dose--stood in the same line, injected one by one by stepping forward to the injection station just as you were. I saw the same trickles of blood dripping down the arms of the people in front of me as well. Nothing was used to clean the injector between people....

I am 13 months post tx and clear of virus. Never thought I'd get here, but hey, something's wrong. I am not even up to half my physical capacity that I was pre-treatment, and that wasn't all that great. Does it ever get better, or do I need to resign myself that I am alive and that is as good as it gets. I have no energy, I hurt EVERYWHERE,...
