Yes!!! There does seem to be somewhat of a shortage in the area and they thyroid issues are abounding. I live just north of the border in Iowa and would consider driving two hours to see a good Endo. LOL My PCP office works with an endo office in Des Moines. I find pros and cons, with my current Endo, but My PCP won't even work with (get this) THE ...

I have found that a supplement that I really like to take is no longer being made. An updated version is supposed to come along in January... I just feel that it makes me feel healthier. It has a lot of probiotics in it. Is there a forum that talks about supplements? Since TT I find that I take a lot of vitamins. Some seem to help, some maybe not as much. ...

She wasn't really very happy with my endo clinic. With the messed up first try and then the inconclusive second try. All the miles, loss of work and not to mention the cost. She was happy to give me some antibiotics. She can definitely feel my glands. Said that many things could be causing an infection, but as I wasn't running a fever, she was...

I have not had a thyroid storm since my TT. So I didn't get rid of mine in the same way as you, it was a bit faster transition maybe for me. But I wanted you to know that life is better without as many ups and downs and they haven't been nearly as severe. It may take some time to get your dosage right whatever meds they put you on. My biggest co...

So going out on a limb here. Have you thought about massage therapy and a good chiropractor? I notice when I get tense often my jaw aches. or if I am extremely out of line in my back and I can tell, then my arms may ache or get tingley and numb. I get a back adjustment two or three times a year and I get massage therapy occasionally. When really tense, I ...

What about vitamins. I had different thyroid issues for you, but ended up with the same issues. and my hair is fine and no body to start with, but I had a lot of it and it was always soft and shiny. after thyroid issues and being put on synthroid, my hair was falling out. Every morning I was pulling a hundred + hairs out of the bathtub. Yes I counted. LO...

I had the ultra sound today. My lymph nodes are enlarged. Dr feels that an infection from a bad tooth or maybe I have a sinus infection or something like that may be the cause. so I am going to family dr tomorrow to discuss possibly getting some antibiotics. Then I wait 4 - 6 weeks and redo the ultra sound. Once I get the infection under control (hopeful...

What you are saying seems to be spot on. Dr doesn't really give me the TGab or TG info. I think she tries to explain things in laymens terms and she has a very strong accent and is very difficult for me to understand over the phone. If I can see her talking, I get along much better. I'm feeling a bit better about things....but one minute....I...

There will be a radiologist available tomorrow when I get my ultrasound. What questions do I need to ask? I want to be clear. I want to know what is going on and I want to understand. I don't know why I freak when I think the old C word. I just know I don't want it. I have new grandbabies and I just want my body to straighten up and fly righ...
